Why Does Pakistan Continue to Oscillate Between Pro and Anti-West Narratives?
Ever since 1947, Pakistan has always been seen as either a West-friendly country or an anti-West nation. Pakistan didn't, and to date does not have a positive working relationship with both sides, and hence has never been seen as a neutral country. The problem is as new as it is old. Imran Khan's pre-meditated visit to Russia on 23rd-24th February sparked outrage in the Western Bloc as if the country had endorsed the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was despite Pakistan condemning the breach of sovereignty by the Russian forces. To discuss the instability, I called upon Professor Dr. Zahir Hussain to explain the issue and answer my questions. Why do People Still Support Imran Khan?
Hello and Assalam-o-Alaikum family, hope you are doing well, this is my last podcast before Ramadan Begins, so hopefully, you are ready for the blessed month. Talking about months, March 2022 for Pakistan has been a month of Marches, as one of the biggest showdowns between the government and the opposition is about to go down in Islamabad. With opposition moving a no-confidence against the Pakistani Premier Imran Khan and the prime minister proving that he still retains the vote bank that elected him 3.5 years ago. So I decided to ask people why Imran Khan is still supported by a lot of people and listen to find out the answers I got from people across Pakistan.
Passion, Perseverance and its Impact on Success
Hello and Assalam o Alaikum everyone, and welcome to the 11th episode of Let’s Talk Pakistan, a podcast where we discuss everything, from global issues to tech updates. Today's topic is Grit, or in other words being passionate and consistent while working towards something, and how this impacts the success of a person. To discuss this, we had a sociologist Mr. Osama Ahmed on the show to explain to us how different dimensions of grit impact the society at large, and how, and if Pakistani society has for a long time acted as a detriment to a person becoming gritty.
