King David had just received the almost unimaginable promise from God concerning his family's future. God promises David that for one of his sons He will establish his throne and kingdom forever. That promise led David to write Psalm 110 and that psalm is what Jesus and the NT writers used to show God's plan for redemption and salvation was Jesus all along.
