Republican Representative Nancy Mace led the House Oversight Committee hearing last week on aliens. The title of that hearing was far less sexy in reality, though. It was called the "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth."

So did we “expose” any truths? Well, it is the government, so it's not like they’re going to tell us that much… Nevertheless, watching Congress contend with the notion of aliens and seeing the government catch up to the reality that it’s possible they exist, is just chef’s kiss delicious. How long have people scoffed, mocked, and ridiculed those who believe in aliens?
