Join us this week as we kick off a brand new series called Unfiltered, where we will take an in depth look at the hard sayings of Jesus. This week, Pastor Jess DiSabatino unpacks John 6:53-60. Jesus gives one of His hardest sayings in this verse: that we must eat His flesh and drink His blood. Christians may differ on the theology and practice of communion, but the deeper question is whether we have truly tasted and seen that Jesus is good. Communion is meant to awaken our hunger for Christ and to remind us that we do not simply need a ritual, a symbol, or a doctrine. We need Him.
