Sermon on the Mount before getting to His talk

Maybe Jesus posed a question,

A quick question to the crowd:

“Can you hear me at the back?”

“I see you people here in front

All of you sitting over there,

I trust you can see me okay

And can hear me loud and clear.

But I can’t see anyone way in the back!

Can you hear me back there?”

“Raise your hands up if you do,

So I know I’m getting through! Am I getting through to you?”

Vs 1

Blessed are the poor in spirit,

For the kingdom of heaven will be theirs.

On this, those at the back are more apt to catch My gist,

(As they will on most points as I move down My list.)

I.E.: The meek, at the last, will inherit the earth.
