Those gusts hit 30 miles an hour. And wind chills are making it feel like minus 10 in spots. This is the kind of cold that finds every gap in your coat. Western Iowa gets the best deal today — sunshine pushes you to 26 degrees around 4 P.M. But don't get comfortable. By 5 A.M. Monday, you're back down to 2 degrees. Central Iowa tops out at 22 around 4 P.M., then crashes to 5 degrees by 4 A.M. Eastern Iowa and the Quad Cities stay coldest — just 18 degrees around 2 P.M., then 7 degrees overnight.
