The headliner of the weekend if a rematch of last year's season-opening barnburner, with Texas A&M making a return trip to South Bend to take on Notre Dame. The Aggies desperately seek a validating win under second-year coach Mike Elko to catapult them firmly into the playoff discussion prior to SEC play. On the other sideline, Marcus Freeman's squad needs a win to avoid an 0-2 start for the second time in four years.
