Good morning. Indiana. I'm Aaron Jolly.
If you stepped outside early, you walked into a wall of fog. Visibility down to a quarter mile in spots, especially south of I-70. Dense Fog Advisory until 10 A.M., so take it slow on the commute. The fog burns off by mid-morning as temperatures take off like a rocket.
And I mean rocket. We're smashing records today — highs in the mid to upper 70s statewide. Indianapolis could hit 77 degrees, breaking the 1973 record of 75. That's 25 degrees above normal for early March. Spring equinox is still two weeks out, but it feels like May crashed the party early.
Down in Indianapolis. Here comes 77. Head northeast toward Fort Wayne and you're at 71. Up near South Bend, 70 degrees. Southwest Indiana? You're the warmest — Evansville pushes 81.
