Black students are important in every space, and he challenges those like him to make their presence felt. “We must get involved in politics and civic engagement, for example, because others will continue to make decisions that affect us and if we’re not careful those decisions may work against us.” Although he is the outgoing lead ambassador of PVAM, he challenges students to lead in every way that feels natural to them, with and without a position or title.
