Jeff Choate and Nevada took Boise State down to the wire, but somewhat controversially, fell seven points short of the upset. The Battle for the Golden Pineapple was as advertised, with UNLV outlasting Hawaii, 29-27. San Jose State clinched bowl eligibility for the third year in a row with an elite defensive performance against Oregon State, and last but not least, we had Air Force shocking the conference by upsetting Fresno State for their first FBS win of the season.
