Who Is Speaking To You?
This episode is a follow-up to my previous one, "You Better Be Lightning." So many powerful female voices are rising, both from the beyond and the earth we walk on now. I believe they are rising because it's time for us femmes to rise with them. Even if you don't identify as female, there is a powerful story for you here too. Spend some time with me and learn how you can connect to the spirits who are calling you to your true purpose and collective healing. You Better Be Lightning
The title of today's episode is to honor Andrea Gibson, the poet who created the phrase. This episode is also meant to honor you, and your ability to compost, to transform the rotten things you've been handed in this life to powerful new and loving growth for yourself, your community and the world. Hang with me for a little while, I'll show you how. Holding Hands with Big Feelings (and an emotional support T-Rex) Interview Episode!
Emotional support. We all want it. We all hope to support ourselves and those we love better. But how? What does emotional support actually look like and feel like? Well, I have an extra special guest on with me today to help explain it all. Spend some time with me and Instagram's most lovable dinosaur, Theodore Rex III, of Just Rexin' Around! You will be left with all your feels and like it that way. Video Recording of the actual Rex! You gotta see him!: https://youtu.be/r7Oej3ESYyk Always more at: Welcome to LovingCreatively.com Just Rexin' Around: https://www.instagram.com/justrexinaround?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==
It's Not Too Late
Do you have regrets? Do you feel like you are too busy, bitter or worn out to chase your dreams? Maybe you believe it's just simply too late... Since you didn't write that song, learn that language or build that body in your twenties, you can't now. You might just be wrong. And I'm here to tell you why, beginning with a photo of me in a Black Widow Costume.... Because it wasn't too late for me to BE Black Widow for Halloween, even in my late 30's. Oh, and my husband is in the photo too... Cause it wasn't too late for us to find love despite a million obstacles. And our messy house in the background, cause life. If you are anywhere between age 30 and 100 and you're still breathing, it's not too late to become the powerful, beautiful and wise person you were meant to be. In fact, you most likely already are that person and it's just a matter of learning how to see your wisdom for yourself and share it with those who need to hear it, specifically from only you. Sit with me a while, then share this with someone else who might have regret. I promise you'll feel better (and maybe even a little inspired) about 16 minutes and 21 seconds from now. Britney and My Boom Box
There have been a lot of toxic stories told about Britney Spears throughout the years. However, today I offer you a deconstructed new one that you may not have heard. What if Britney Spears, despite all of the ways she was used and abused, had a powerful, transformative impact on young girls who became the women of today? What if you have that same power despite all of the trauma inflicted upon you? Join me as I journey back to the early 2000's and share how Britney Spears' work shaped some of the resilience of my own life then and now. The New Moon and Your Shadow
Tonight is a new moon, and a new beginning. In this brief but powerful episode, I teach you how to honor the strength of your own shadow, as well as how you can use what you have learned in the darkness to plant powerful seeds in the light. All that you have survived and learned from might be the exact medicine needed to create a new, safe and compassionate world. Never underestimate your power. What Do You Know?
What if the breakup you survived is the lesson of love that someone else needs to learn? What if your experience with pain is the key ingredient needed to create a healing antidote for yourself and others? Join me as I deconstruct what it means to "know" something well enough to write about it, talk about it or build it. You are already more of an expert, master and creator than you might believe. Oh, and Jonathan Larson (the creator of Rent) as played by Andrew Garfield is what led me to some of these insights... So, you're probably going to want to hear about that too (they're both so great!). Breakthrough
Something powerful is calling you, and in this episode, I invite you to simply listen... To finally accept what a precious resource your energy and attention are. You Didn't Really Want To Die
I sought death when the lies that claimed to be life were too painfully exposed. There was no obvious salve or savior, and so I simply began to implode. That short poem is for me and for you. If you have ever struggled with self-destruction or even suicidal intentions, this episode is for you. I give you practical, empowering stories and tools for learning how to work with your wounds. To show you that every sting or feeling of not belonging anywhere is actually the nail and hammer that can help you build your castle-your place of safety, compassion and growth. You can't miss this one, I can feel that there are so many who need to hear it. So spend some time with me, then share the episode with your loved (or difficult) one who needs to hear it! Liberty and Justice FOR ALL
This 4th of July Eve, I invite you to deconstruct your definition of a hero. What if everything you were shamed and judged for was actually the microphone that could amplify your greatest strengths? What if you have the power to create a nation that is truly safe, just and equal for all? You do have that power, join me for a little chat, I'll help you find it.
