In Bible times, the disciples didn't walk down grid-system suburban streets, knocking on strangers' private doors. They went straight to the bustling public market centers—the Agora—because that was where the community gathered daily to trade, discuss ideas, and hear news. The scriptures command us to preach publicly and to herald the message like a town crier, meeting people in the open squares of life.
By definition, marketing is simply showing up where the people are concentrated so they can hear your message. In the ancient world, that meant the physical market center. But today, our culture has fundamentally shifted. People live inside gated developments and subdivisions that put up explicit markers reading No Soliciting and No Religion.
