Showers and thunderstorms roll through Metro Atlanta this morning, peaking around 4 P.M. With an 80 percent chance. Highs hit 71 degrees — cooler than yesterday thanks to clouds and rain. Winds stay light out of the west at 5 to 10 miles an hour.
Down along the coast, patchy fog clears by mid-morning before scattered storms fire up this afternoon. Savannah and Brunswick climb to 83 degrees, with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms between 2 P.M. and 11 P.M. Augusta splits the difference at 81 degrees with a 50 percent chance of rain and storms between 2 P.M. and 10 P.M. Tonight, storms taper off by 9 P.M. Across Metro Atlanta.
