In 1963, a devastating fire tore through Jacksonville’s historic Hotel Roosevelt, trapping hundreds of guests inside and claiming 22 lives. How did the fire go unnoticed for so long, why were so many people trapped on the upper floors, and what happened inside the hotel that morning? Today, the building still stands as The Carling Apartments and some say the Roosevelt’s ghosts may still be there.
