AMBITIOUS SUFFERING- If someone were to ask the question, “Who wants to suffer for Jesus?” there would not be a lot of people who would jump up and raise their hand for that assignment. If you ask the question, “Who wants to be a great leader for Jesus?” you would probably get a much more favorable response. In Jesus’ words to James, John and Momma Zebedee, he makes a statement connecting those two. He informs them that HONOR is accompanied by SUFFERING in the Kingdom of God. Honor is not given benevolently to those with the greatest ambition. It is given to those who most graciously suffer for the Kingdom of God.
