Welcome back to Fairy Gaymothers Sorta for season two, episode two, where Kat and Hunter take on one of society’s most confusing and inconsistently enforced social contracts: girl code.

Through extensive research (watching clips of reality television on TikTok and god forbid, Reels), the girls attempt to determine what girl code actually is, whether lesbians play by a different set of rules, and at what point “violating girl code” becomes indistinguishable from simply making a decision someone didn’t like.

Using case studies from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and the latest Summer House drama, Kat and Hunter examine the ever-expanding list of offenses that can often be used to label someone as not “a girl’s girl”. Is there a universal code? Does one NEED a code to have compassion and consideration for women?
