In this episode, Stephen and Adam welcome a special guest to the show — Abigail, our new youth pastor — for a conversation on Crazy Love by Francis Chan. The book asks a simple but uncomfortable question: if we genuinely believed how big God is and how relentlessly He loves us, would our lives actually look any different? Stephen, Adam, and Abigail walk through the book's biggest ideas, from resetting how small we are next to God, to Chan's convicting "Profile of the Lukewarm," to what it actually looks like to live obsessed with Jesus instead of just comfortable with Him. This week, Pastor Stephen and Pastor Adam dig into the story of Elijah — the prophet most people only know as "the guy who called down fire from heaven." They walk through the whole arc: the ravens that fed him in hiding, the widow whose flour never ran out, the showdown with 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, and the fire that fell in front of the entire nation. But the real conversation happens right after the victory, when Elijah collapses into fear and despair and asks God to just let him die. Stephen and Adam talk through what it means that God met him there not with a rebuke, but with rest, food, and a whisper — and what that says about how God meets us in our own burnout today. They also connect Elijah's story to Jesus, including his appearance alongside Moses at the Transfiguration.
