In this episode, we delve into the groundbreaking approach known as Evidence-Based Design (EBD) and examine its transformative impact on healthcare environments. For years, hospitals have been perceived as sterile, utilitarian spaces focused primarily on operational efficiency. However, a growing body of research highlights that thoughtfully designed environments—characterised by abundant natural light, tranquil views, and patient-centred layouts—can significantly enhance patient recovery rates, alleviate staff burnout, and yield substantial cost savings.
