AI: From Weather Forecasts to Robots

Artificial intelligence (AI) is making big changes in lots of areas, like predicting the weather and controlling robots! Scientists are creating special computer programs called AI models that can learn from lots of information. For example, a model called GenCast learned from 40 years of weather data and can now predict things like heat waves and hurricanes better than other systems. AI models are also being used to create virtual worlds, like a program called Genie 2 that can make a 3D video game world from just one picture.
