Sébastien Vaniček, the man who made the excellent Infested, takes the sixth Evil Dead its own direction: a grieving widow heads to a remote family house to mourn her husband with his in-laws, and the weekend curdles into what some are calling the nastiest, bloodiest entry in the franchise. Eric walked out having had a good time. Josh walked out having timed the good parts, and he clocks about three watchable minutes in a nearly two-hour movie.
