How does a sea turtle no bigger than your hand dig itself out of a nest buried deep in the sand — in the dark — and find the ocean all by itself? In this episode, Miss Cam takes explorers to a moonlit beach to watch a mother loggerhead haul herself ashore, dig a nest with her back flippers, and lay around a hundred soft, round eggs before slipping back into the waves. Then we go underground with the hatchlings: the tiny "egg tooth" on their snout, the way warm sand and cool sand decide whether they're boys or girls, and the incredible teamwork it takes to climb out together. Four-year-old Emma asked for this one, and she brought her big brother Nate along for the flipper-run to the sea. Perfect for curious kids ages 4-10 who love animals, oceans, and beaches. Turn your imaginations ON!
