Happy meteorological spring, folks. Now. Don't look outside just yet. An Arctic cold front is knifing through the state as we speak. It brought snow with it. and it's dragging in the coldest air we've seen in weeks.
In the next 24 hours. That snow cranked up around 6 A.M. Across central Connecticut. Hartford. Middletown, that whole corridor picks up 1 to 2 inches before it tapers off by midday. Enough to coat the roads and make your morning commute slippery. Along the coast and out east toward New London? Lighter stuff. Under an inch. It peaks mid morning and fizzles by early afternoon.
Highs today barely scratch the mid 30s. That's a solid 10 degrees below where we should be on March 1st. Not exactly the spring welcome wagon.
