In this Sermon Study Pastor Cowell discusses the healing of the Canaanite woman's daughter from Matthew 15:21-28.

Not mentioned is that you can also find this account in Mark 7:24-30, in which the woman is described as "Syrophoenician", that is, a resident of the Roman province of Syria and of Phoenician descent. "Canaanite" would be a more ancient reference to this geographic area.
