Throughout C.A.R.’s history, the buffalo has been an important symbol for us in how to face challenge and adversity, for buffaloes have a well-documented instinct to run directly into storms rather than flee from them. Their behavior is a survival strategy: when severe weather approaches, they reorient themselves to face oncoming weather, as a deliberate, coordinated movement into the storm’s path.
