Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 11:2-16, Ephesians 5:22-33
Text: 1 Cortinthians 11:16
Paul describes three “headship” relationships: Jesus is the
head of every man; man is the head of the woman, and God
(the Father) is the head of Christ. Because Paul connects the
three relationships, the principles of headship are the same
among them. This means that in any relationship, there should
be a leader. Without a leader chaos soon sets in. Just as a
nation without a leader spells disaster, so too is a family
without a head. Why the man? Paul gives the reason in
Ephesians 5 verse 23: “For the husband is the head of the
wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and
