In this episode, a longtime consumer science instructor shares the story of "Bachelor Living," a class she created at City College of San Francisco. It began with a wave of veterans, new immigrants, and young or newly divorced men who were struggling to find their footing in an unfamiliar society. Her solution was equal parts practical and clever: sell them on James Bond's glamorous, self-sufficient lifestyle (with a little help from posters placed over every urinal in the building) and then teach them the real fundamentals of a healthy human life.
