Bad Habits
Explícito
Habits. Good or bad, we all have them. Some we'd really like to change, some we really want to maintain, and others we need to straight up abandon ship on. Why do good habits seem hard to form and commit to and bad habits seem so easy to pick right up and make part of our daily lives, even if we don't realize it. From constantly being on our phones, checking social media, to eating unhealthy foods everyday, biting our nails, binge drinking several nights a week, Netflix marathons on the weekends - while some of this sounds like a pretty good time, to most people, they do not realize how these habits are affecting our daily lives. When you DO realize those bad habits, how are you looking at it? Do you recognize that this is not serving you in any good or positive or healthy way? Do you make plans to change it? Or do you have the mentality of "Well, this is just who I am"... In this episode we will discuss some of our personal bad habits and how we are working towards making those changes we know are necessary to improve our daily lives. Recognizing that our bad habits do NOT define who we are as individuals and not accepting these bad habits as "that's just who I am"... Enjoy! Adaptations
Explícito
Adapting. It's what we do as human beings and have been doing for thousands of years - it's built into our human makeup and we've become quite accustomed to it - changes in environment, our bodies, our lifestyles... how do we deal with it all and maintain sanity and good mental health? How does it affect us when the changes are voluntary vs involuntary? When it's physical changes like gaining or losing weight, become pregnant, being diagnosed with a condition or disease - How do you adapt to these changes? When it's environmental like losing a home, re-locating to another state or country, starting a new job, losing a job - How do we adapt? In this episode we will talk about the experiences we have had in our lives thus far and how we have adapted as women, as moms, as wives and partners. Lots of silly laughs and yeah... go ahead and think what you want; clearly this was recorded right after the new year but HEY, just refer to one of our previous episodes titled "F*ck yo plans", cause that's basically how this episode got uploaded 6 months later LOL. Temporada 1
CHRISTMASSSSSS!
Explícito
Ah, Christmas... festive décor, pretty lights, delicious cookies and treats, hot chocolate, getting cozy by the fireplace, yesssss, give me all these things! While Christmas can be a time of joy, love and giving with all the great feels, it can also be ridiculously stressful to a lot of people. Decorating because you feel that you HAVE to, getting Christmas cards/photos sent to friends and relatives because you feel it's "just what you do", or buying gifts for friends/family with money you don't have. We talk mostly about the things we enjoy but we also touch on topics like; when did Christmas become a 3 month long holiday/event? Early decorating (like, even PRE thanksgiving..smh). Share your stories or thoughts/feelings on Christmas with us! What are some things you LOVE? What are some things that just make you want to scream?! FU*K yo plans!
Explícito
You know when you spend the time to plan things out with your family, your life, your friends and get it all in order just to have those plans SMACKED down because of life events beyond our control? Yeah, we thought so. From stupid COVID that literally ruined EVERYONES plans for 2020, to surprise pregnancies, changes in employment, to the loss of a family member or friend; life is happening and constantly moving around us and does not stop to ask us "Is this a good time?" How rude... BUT you roll with the punches, you try not to let it set you back too far and you move forward. What kind of plans did you have that LIFE said, "NOPE! Not today!" ? REVIEWS! Games, toys, and products
There are many essential things you need when raising a child like blankets, diapers, bottles, a crib... what about some non-cliché essentials like toys and games? We discuss games and toys we enjoyed playing growing up and the kind of games/toys our children like to play. We talk products we felt that were AMAZING and essential to us as parents and GREAT to have in your home if you have small kiddos. Some things just aren't worth the hype and money like Keurigs that brew your formula or wipe warmers that dry out your wipes. What kind of products/games/toys have you LOVED and what did you feel like was a waste of time and money? Emotional Support and all the Feels
Explícito
::to the tune of Whitney Houston:: "I get so emotional BABAAY" - Yes, Whitney... Yes we do! We're women,.. we're Mothers... we can't help it! Not even the fact that our hormones are f**ked six ways to Sunday from menstrual cycles, the before, during AND and after pregnancy, we take on our children's and partners emotions too! It's a lot to take in and process just from a day to day standpoint but we pack it on, take it in, put some here, and stick some there... and then... EXPLOSION! How do you keep from getting to that point? Do you worry about your feelings spilling over to your partner and children? How do you deal when emotions run high and you feel overwhelmed... or bogged down... or like you just aren't enough. Do you have a good support system? Let us know your thoughts, ideas, suggestions at allmom.nopros@gmail.com This episode was recorded before some others that have already been released. Due to lack of editing software, some silence cuts and minor voiceover changes have been made** I'm editing from my iphone, y'all LOL!
Childhood: Then and Now
Explícito
Growing up is different for every child - every childhood contains unique experiences and moments that shape and mold who we are as adult individuals. In this latest episode we talk about our personal childhoods and how we feel they have affected our parenting styles. We reminisce on the good times from back in the day (which was mainly 80s/90s/00s era for us) and the rough times we went through as kids. Through the great memories and the hard ones, our children today will have a much different story to tell.
Balance and Self care
Explícito
Motherhood is a balancing act that takes years to figure out and make work; it can get overwhelming with the many hats we wear as mothers, partners, and as women in general. What do you do when it all becomes too much? Do you have an escape that you run or turn to? Do you have affirmations you tell yourself to get through some days? Can you even FIND the time to break away for 10 minutes and decompress from your day? For those working moms who bust ass all day (or night, lol, we don't know you) and still come home, lay that purse down, tear that bra off and put your Mom face on, to the stay at home moms who never get a break from being AT HOME! Both can be extremely stressful and we want to know the things you do to relax and get some ME time in.
