Good morning. Alabama. I'm Michael Nally. Step outside and you'll feel that thick, sticky air. We soaked up nearly an inch of rain overnight. And those clouds are hanging tough this morning. Currently 62 degrees under gray skies. The showers that drenched us overnight are clearing out, but don't put that umbrella away. Scattered storms fire up this afternoon as a warm front lifts north. Down in Mobile, thunderstorms roll through early evening with highs hitting 76 degrees. Birmingham tops out at 73, while Huntsville reaches 72. Nothing severe today, but you'll want rain gear handy through late afternoon. Tonight stays muggy — lows only dip to the upper 50s inland, mid 60s along the coast.
