We visit Warrenton and talk to the Airport Director, Mr David Darrah, about how he got the new FBO built and his long career in the US Marine Corps.
Chambersburg is a neat town, the airport is 3m north. I interview a local pilot who began flying at age 72! An inspiration to us all.
The Battle of Gettysburg was fought n 1-3 July 1863 and changed American history forever. You can land at Gettysburg Airport 2 miles away and walk the battlefield yourself. we talk to Dan Blouch who runs the FBO and has reinvigorated GA on the field.
Shannon is next to Fredericksburg, Virgnia and has loads to offer the aviation and history buff. We talk to Mr. Luke Curtas, the owner of Shannon Airport.
Front Royal is a neat town in the Northern Shenandoah Valley with a lot of history. Stonewall Jackson made his headquarters there in his drive north to capture Harpers Ferry. We will meet an air ambulance pilot there and learn about flying patients for an air ambulance company.
Hummel is a great small field on the Chesapeake Bay. It has a cafe on the field and a neat general aviation feel to it.
We fly to LUA and discuss the history and future of the airport with the Airport Manager, Mr. Ken Painter.
We review the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport, better known as Martinsburg or Shepherd Field.
