Tracking, Paranoia, Constant Accusations
In Episode 85 of After the Quiet, I share how my husband's paranoia and need for control escalated into relentless surveillance. The constant text messages never stopped. My phone was regularly searched, my privacy disappeared, and every interaction became something I was forced to defend. When suspicion becomes a tool of control, exhaustion becomes a way of life. This episode explores the hidden reality of coercive control, including obsessive jealousy, accusations of infidelity, phone monitoring, sleep deprivation, and psychological abuse. I also reflect on how public appearances often hid a very different reality behind closed doors, where fear, hypervigilance, and the need to constantly prove my innocence had become my everyday life. If you've ever questioned whether extreme jealousy, tracking, or constant accusations are signs of abuse, this episode offers insight into how these behaviours can gradually isolate and control a partner.
