Formula Hooligan Special: Formula Hooligan vs Red Mist

There's a new racing podcast amongst the NHKA paddock trying to take the thunder away from the established Formula Hooligan Podcast. Since we all agreed that there can only be one, we had an epic battle to decide which podcast would stand!! That's not at all what happened of course. Instead, we sat down and collaborated with the guys of the Red Mist Podcast and shared our thoughts on the weekend, current events in racing, and stories from kart racing's past! We even had three extra mic's setup for whoever wanted to jump in. Guest's included young guns Cruise LaBrie and Ian Morrison, returning Mercedes Super Fan Rich Hemingway, returning Mercedes Critic Viken Mardrossian, K1 mechanic and aspiring racer Mari, and one of the best kart mechanics in all of the U.S. Arturo Tames. Arturo especially had plenty of stories to share throughout his 30 years in the karting world. Be sure not to miss this one!!

Episode 16: Is That Really Ginger Spice?

Once again two races have passed since we last talked! One was quite the spectacle while the other one was quite the race. I'm sure it's not hard to figure out which was which. Also, the NHKA season has officially begun!! I give my account of the TaG race while Charles gives his account of the Hooligan race! They certainly lived up to the Hooligan name this weekend!

Episode 15: Poor Man's F1?

Charlie Boy himself left the frigid land of New England to venture over into Los Angeles for the Long Beach Grand Prix! The Indycar, Porsche Cup, and Stadium Super Truck's action was enough to keep him very entertained. However as the title suggests, he may not have found it to be the most premium experience. Episode 14: And We're BACK!!

Hibernation is over!! We're back with some more of the Formula Hooligan Podcast in 2022. Featuring the usual banter regarding Formula 1, karts, and sim racing. In this episode Charlie, Alex, and re-occurring guest Ismar Hernandez share their thoughts on the first two races of the Formula 1 season and the promise that the 2022 car's are showing. Then Alex share's his experience racing in the Simcraft 24 Hours of NOLA. A long race featuring freezing temps, rain before the race, and even tornado warnings!

Episode 13: MAX MAX SUPER MAX SUPER SUPER MAX MAX

WE HAVE A NEW FORMULA ONE CHAMPION!! Half the fan base is elated, while half the fan base is devastated. And it seems that there's a combination of fans from both sides that are confused and somewhat angered at the FIA's continued inconsistency. Even going as far as to argue that the FIA manipulated the outcome of the championship. So what do two kart racers from New England think about this whole mess?? You'll just have to listen for yourself. Our last episode of the year covers the end of this wild 2021 season and what we have to look forward to in the coming winter months. What a season it has been.

Episode 12: That Was Painful Huh?

Happy Turkey Day folks!! What better way to wind down from multiple turkey comas than with the 12th episode of the Formula Hooligan Podcast eh? In this episode we have two F1 races to break down, a discussion on sport vs entertainment, and a bit of sim racing coverage as we get to the colder months where real life racing is coming to an end. Episode 11: It Took Off Without Me

Only recorded minutes after the Mexican GP! And can't say we spent many minutes talking about it. Not exactly a thriller but it gave us plenty of time to talk about the NHKA 2021 Season Finale. Special guest Ismar Hernandez returns for a full episode this time to help us summarize another karting season. Oh and Alex fills us in on his newest extreme sport: Asphalt Body Surfing. Don't think it's really going to catch on...

Episode 10: Russian GP Watch Along

BEST VIEWED ALONGSIDE THE 2021 RUSSIAN GP! Sit down with us, grab a beverage, and watch the Russian GP with us! We've wanted to try this for a while and we picked a hell of a race to watch for it! As you can imagine, there was alot of shouting, especially towards the end. What a race!

Episode 09: We'll Do it Live (recorded) From Canaan

Our second show recorded on site at Canaan Motor Club. This time on the night between NHKA races 5 and 6. Once again we have a slew of guests! Starting off with TaG Senior winner in race 5 Nick Mercer, everyone's favorite track photographer/pilot/racer Ken Repke, and finally Viken Mardirossian. We discuss the day's events as well as our take on the F1 drama that happened at Silverstone and Hungary. Let's just say there wasn't much love for Hamilton in this one...

Episode 08: LIVE (recorded) From Kartmania 2021

Our first trackside show!! With Kartmania being a two day event, it only seemed right that we shoot an episode during the party on Saturday night. We even had an additional mic ready to go for anyone who wanted to sit down and talk to us. And talk to us they did! Rich Hemingway sat down with us first to talk about his experience in the changing conditions that day, Greg then gave us some words of wisdom on racing in the rain, young Hayden talked about his experiences practicing in the so-called "little guys" class, Rick Brown made his third appearance on the show along with Dave Nadeau to discuss racing backgrounds and the state of modern racing, and finally Charlie (not Hosea) took the mic to satisfy his curiosity for getting into sim racing. Oh, and our fearless leader Mike Camarra made many many cameos; even though he claimed he didn't want to be on the mic. Maybe next time??? Thank you for everyone who helped setup, breakdown, and guest star on the show. It was well worth it and I'm sure we'll do it again. P.S. This was the night BEFORE the controversial lap one accident in Formula One. You'll have to listen in to the next episode to get our opinions on that one...
