The kind of mild morning that gets folks thinking about tapping maple trees. We picked up a bit of rain overnight. And a few lingering showers are wrapping up as we speak. Down south, those last showers clear out by 8 A.M., then partly sunny skies push in. Highs reach 45 degrees with breezy west winds gusting to 29 miles an hour. Tonight drops to 33 degrees under mostly clear skies. Central Vermont sees mostly sunny conditions after early morning clouds. You'll hit 54 degrees with lighter southwest winds around 6 miles an hour. Tonight falls to 35 degrees. Up northeast, a slight chance of showers wraps up by 7 A.M., then partly sunny skies take over.
