Right, so Donald Trump is telling us the Iran War is nearly over, that its almost finished, that he has stood by his Gulf allies and protected them and thanked them for their help. I don’t think anybody has told Iran though. Those are scenes from Kuwait International Airport, where they have had their fuel tanks hit and set on fire by an Iranian drone strike, and Donald Trump chose that precise point in time to tell people the war was nearly over. Whoops. Bad timing. Kuwait of course hosts American forces, sits inside American defence arrangements, and lives under that sales pitch from the orange tan man that the price of US alignment is US protection.
