The Transition Back to the Classroom with Professor Dawn Kilkenny

Stories of WISE by Stories of WISE

Episode notes

This October, Stories of WISE reached out to various professors across the University of Toronto spanning departments in the Faculty of Arts and Science and the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering to hear their thoughts on the transition back to in-person learning. This September brought the long-awaited return of students and professors back to campus after the university switched to online learning in March 2020. While many were ecstatic, others had mixed feelings about the return.

Stories of WISE wanted to highlight the professor’s perspective on this transition back to the classroom, because just like students, professors also experienced firsthand the impact a pandemic can have on learning. In this episode, we spoke to Professor Dawn Kilkenny from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (BME)!
