The Hobbit, the All Blacks, and…Frooze Balls? Meet the New Zealand health food taking the grocery aisle by storm

Chef Jeremy Dixon wanted to create a product that was more than just delicious: he wanted it to be healthy, sustainable, and affordable to his vegan cafe patrons. And so, he created the very first Frooze Ball, a plant-based, real ingredient snack that comes in creative flavors like hazelnut or lemon cheesecake. After customers showed astounding love of his health balls, Jeremy decided it was time to commercialize the product, to bring it to the rest of New Zealand and hopefully, the world. This is where his long-time friend Cheri Jackson entered the picture. Cheri had a marketing background within food and had recently moved to America with her husband. She was the perfect person to introduce this New Zealand ball of health to American pallets. Thus far, she has overwhelmingly succeeded; Frooze Balls are now available in Trader Joe's nationwide. Take a listen to learn more about this innovative snack and the entrepreneurs behind it!
