2 Chronicles 10 Why did Israel divide into two Kingdoms, called Israel and Judah?

Revering the Word by Jay Cavaiani

Episode notes

Here we see that despite peace, prosperity and major blessings upon Israel they did not stay true to God and the Kingdom was divided in two.

Judah goes to the south in Jerusalem and also has Benjamin with Rehoboam as King.

Jereboam will be come king to the North and have have ten tribes and be called Israel.

Although Jereboam starts off well her and Reheboam starts out bad here, Judah will be the more faithful nation compared to Israel but neither will be consistent except that Israel to the North will be consistently irreverant in short order.
