Those trade winds are cranking today. Buck Island clocked gusts at 41 miles an hour overnight. Ponce hit 37. That breeze isn't letting up — expect winds between 15 and 25 miles an hour through midweek, with gusts pushing 30 to 40. Secure anything loose outside before it takes flight.
Metro San Juan reaches 81 degrees this afternoon with just isolated showers — only a 20 percent chance. East winds around 18 miles an hour keep things breezy. Tonight drops to 75 with scattered showers becoming more likely. Tomorrow brings more of the same: 81 degrees with that steady east wind and scattered showers.
