Folks, step outside right now and you'll feel 16 degrees of false calm. Enjoy that quiet commute. It won't last. A fast moving clipper is already spinning snow across the Upper Peninsula. And by tonight, every corner of this state gets a piece of the action.
Up north is where winter means business. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect right now. Snow cranks up around 10 A.M. And peaks near 4 P.M., when visibility could drop below a quarter mile. We're talking 2 to 4 inches across the region. Near Munising and Rapid River? Up to 7 inches. Winds gusting to 35 miles an hour turn that snow sideways.
