Good morning. Georgia. I'm Aaron Jolly. That fog wrapping around you this morning? Thick as cotton candy after yesterday's rain. Visibility dropped to a quarter mile overnight, but it'll lift by late morning when sunshine punches through. Metro Atlanta climbs to 79 degrees today with partly sunny skies. There's a slight chance of showers around 6 P.M., but most of you stay dry. Down along the coast. Savannah hits 82 degrees once the fog clears. Eastern Georgia takes the warmth crown — 84 degrees with mostly sunny skies after patchy fog lifts by mid-morning. Here's where it gets interesting. Tonight, a line of thunderstorms develops across western Georgia between 6 P.M. and 1 A.M. Some storms could turn strong to severe with damaging winds and small hail.
