Folks, enjoy tonight. Seriously. Step outside and feel that 45 degrees air on your face. That's twelve degrees above normal for late February. High pressure is sliding offshore right now. and it's giving us one last gift before handing the keys to an Arctic front.
In the next 24 hours. Central Connecticut is leading the charge at 43 degrees. The coast sits a touch cooler at 38, thanks to those southerly winds skimming across Long Island Sound. Eastern areas split the difference at 39. All of it under crystal clear skies.
Tonight stays quiet. Lows settle near 25 degrees along the coast and east, 27 inland. One thing to watch. Patchy fog rolls in after 3 A.M. As moisture from our snowpack meets the warmer air. That could make early Saturday driving a little tricky.
