Google alerts let you know whenever something you care about is being talked about online. This is great if you want to follow a trending topic<\/b>, have a super-nichey hobby you want to know everything about, or even if you want to follow whenever your name is mentioned somewhere online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can\u2019t be everywhere online, and you don\u2019t have the time to conduct daily searches to compare to the previous day\u2019s search. Life is busy, but that doesn\u2019t mean you shouldn\u2019t know about the things that matter to you — or if someone has written a positive or negative review of you or your company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s the digital age, and keeping up with things that are important to you<\/b> is basically your right. It should be easy. And it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Google Alerts<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter a topic or name you\u2019re interested in following<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Next, select \u201cShow options<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select the dropdown menu for the \u201cDeliver to<\/strong>\u201d option<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Select RSS feed<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Next, select \u201cCreate Alert<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
